Privacy Policy

• Account details: name, email address, phone number, and password credentials.
• Order details: items ordered, delivery address, notes, and payment status.
• Location data: for riders, precise GPS location while a delivery is active, so customers and restaurants can track the order. Customers may share an approximate location to find nearby restaurants.
• Payment data: handled by our payment partners (Paystack and Flutterwave). We never store your card numbers or bank credentials.
• Device and usage data: basic technical logs used to keep the service secure.

• To create and manage your account.
• To process orders, assign the nearest rider, and complete deliveries or pickups.
• To process payments, including cash-on-delivery reconciliation.
• To send order updates and account notifications.
• To prevent fraud, abuse, and to comply with legal obligations.

Rider location is collected only while the rider is on duty or delivering an order, and it is shared only with the customer and restaurant tied to that order. Riders can stop sharing at any time by going offline or revoking the location permission in their device settings. Location is not used for advertising.

We share only what is needed to complete an order: your name, phone number, and delivery address are shared with the restaurant and assigned rider. We also share data with our payment processors and our hosting and database provider. We do not sell your personal data.

Account and order records are kept while your account is active and afterwards only as long as needed for accounting, dispute resolution, and legal requirements. Rider location history tied to completed deliveries is removed on a rolling basis.

You can access, correct, or delete your personal data. To delete your account and associated data, see our account deletion page, or email us with the request.

Data is stored on secured, access-controlled infrastructure with row-level security so users can only read their own records. Access by restaurants, riders, and administrators is limited to what their role requires.

Ifood is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the app, and the date at the top of this page will change.
