Ifood connects hungry customers, local restaurants and verified riders in Nigerian cities. Here is everything you need to know to start using the app today.
Order food to your door
- Create a free customer account.
- Pick your city from the home screen.
- Browse restaurants and menus near you.
- Add items to your cart and go to checkout.
- Pay online, by bank transfer or with reward points.
- Track your order until the rider arrives.
Receive and prepare orders
- Register as a restaurant and set your city.
- Build your menu with prices and photos.
- Receive new orders on your dashboard.
- Confirm, prepare and mark orders ready.
- A nearby rider is assigned automatically.
- Get paid weekly minus a small platform fee.
Deliver and earn
- Sign up as a rider and upload your details.
- Go online when you are ready to deliver.
- Accept or claim nearby delivery requests.
- Pick up the order from the restaurant.
- Deliver to the customer and mark complete.
- Earn delivery fees, commissions and reward points.
Customer walkthrough
Choose your city
Open the app and select your city. Ifood shows only restaurants that actually deliver to your area, so your menu list is always relevant.
Find a restaurant
Browse by name, cuisine or dish. Tap a restaurant to see its full menu, prices and opening hours.
Add items to your cart
Tap the plus button on any item. You can review your cart, edit quantities and remove items before checkout.
Checkout securely
Choose your payment method: Paystack card payment, Flutterwave, manual bank transfer or Ifood reward points. Enter your delivery address and confirm.
Restaurant prepares your meal
The restaurant sees your order instantly, confirms it and starts cooking. You will see status updates like "Confirmed" and "Ready for pickup".
A rider delivers to you
A nearby available rider is assigned automatically. Track the order until it reaches your door, then enjoy your meal.
Payments
Pay with card or wallet instantly and securely.
Transfer to the platform account shown at checkout; admin confirms payment.
Customers can spend earned points at checkout.
During testing, use mock details so no real money moves.
Rewards & referrals
- Customers: 1 point for every 5 paid orders in a month.
- Restaurants: 1 point for every 20 completed orders in a month.
- Riders: 1 point for every 10 completed deliveries in a month.
- Each point is worth ₦1,000.
Share your referral code. When a new restaurant joins and completes its first paid order, you earn reward points. More invites unlock bigger bonuses.
